Character Descriptions Listed Below:
A well-spoken, handsome attorney. Wealthy, but by no means pretentious. Takes charge of the situation and can be a bit of a know-it-all. This along with his likability makes him a great leader. He is married to Chris.
A bit high strung. She is also a lawyer, and married to Ken. Beautiful, very intelligent but easily flustered. Frantically tries to maintain normalcy at the party. Has recently quit smoking (lots of physical comedy with this), which is making it more difficult for her to maintain her normally cool demeanor.
A wealthy accountant, who enters the party with an extreme case of whiplash because he was in a car accident on the way to the party. To top it off, the accident causes major damage to his new sports car; he is distraught. Intolerant of the gossipy, country clublifestyle that he is often involved in.
Lenny’s wife. Very concerned with appearances (hers and others). Starts the play with a swollen lip(from car accident). Likes to gossip and is involved at the country club.
A smug psychiatrist married to Cookie. Loves his wife very much. Tries to be as helpful as possible cooking the evening’s dinner.
Cookie has her own cooking show. Suffers from extreme back spasms. Loves
her husband very much. A bit absent-minded at times. Eccentric personality and style. Sweet but not from the same world as others.
A ambitious, polished, man running for State Senate. Worried about his own
reputation. Struggles with placating his wife, who is convinced he is having an affair (which he may or may not be). Obvious tension between he and his wife Cassie
Glenn’s beautiful trophy wife. Obsesses over her husband’s
relationships with other women and very jealous. Quick to anger. Not an idiot but not smart in your typical way. No college education.
A city police officer having a rough night. Does not tolerate lying. Sees
through the “classy” façade that these high-society types put up. A vigorous, straight- talking, veteran police officer.
A rookie police officer and Welch’s partner. A strong but silent type.
